CAKE SMASH PORTRAITS
A cake smash photography session with Storybook Photography is the ultimate way to celebrate your baby's first birthday in Sydney!
Cake smash sessions are held in our North Kellyville photography studio and usually take around 1 hour to photograph.
Our sessions include
A Cake Smash with Storybook Photography can be held anytime after your baby is 10.5 months old (providing they can sit unassisted and can eat textured foods) and up to his/her 1st birthday. If you have missed out on booking by your baby's first birthday but would still like to arrange a cake smash, get in touch as we still may be able to accomodate your booking.
Love the idea of a special photo shoot to celebrate your baby's first birthday, but don't love the idea of a cake smash? No problems! Get in touch as will come up with something special for your little one.
We also offer simplistic cake smash sessions for those that prefer something without all the bells and whistles too!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q - Can I choose the theme for my Childs cake smash?
A - Yes, we offer two packages that allow for custom theming.
Q - Is the cake included in the package?
A - Yes, we take care of everything for your cake smash session with us!
Q - Do you offer something other than cake?
A - Yes, we can include something other than cake for your little one to eat during the session. Some other ideas may include donuts, pancakes or ice cream. You could also entertain the idea of spaghetti if you want something really messy! Feel free to get in touch and we will work something out with you.
Q - Do you provide cakes that a cater for allergies?
A - No. Unfortunately we do not cater for children with allergies. In this case we would ask you to bring your own cake.
Q - Can I provide my own cake and/or some props?
A - Yes, absolutely! All we ask is that you let us know of your intention when booking in so that we can plan the session accordingly.
Q - Do you hold sessions on a weekend?
A - No. Studio sessions are booked during the week only.
Q - Do you only photograph cake smash sessions for a first birthday?
A - Not at all! We'd be more than happy to photograph a cake smash session for any age birthday!
Q - Do you charge extra for twins?
A - No, the packages are the same for single babies and for twins, however if you'd like a second cake then an additional cost will apply for the extra cake.
Q - Do you offer outdoor cake smash sessions?
A - Yes! We can certainly accomodate this for you!
Q - Do you include family/sibling photos in a cake smash?
A - We can include some family photos for an additional fee, however we recommend leaving the cake smash session just for your baby. These sessions can sometimes be overwhelming for babies as by the age of 12 months, they can be sensitive to the surroundings and people they are not familiar with. It can often take some time for babies to settle and in some cases, we only have a short window to capture babies interacting with their cake. Adding family photos to the mix can reduce the amount of time that we might have.
