BABY PORTRAITS

Baby portrait sessions are the perfect way to capture your growing baby's personality!

These sessions are very popular for babies in the 6-9 month age range as that is usually when a baby can sit without assistance and they have not yet started walking. However a baby aged between 2-12 months can be photographed in a Baby Portrait session. If you are wanting portraits of your baby sitting, you will need to wait until he or she is sitting on their own. Otherwise if that is not a matter of importance for you, Rachael will design the session to suit movements that your baby is safely capable of doing.

During a baby portrait photography session in our North Kellyville studio, you can expect all of your babies perfect little features and cheeky personality to be captured. From intense stares, to cheeky little smiles, to dropping the bottom lip, you can be assured that a milestone session with Storybook Photography will capture just about every one of the different faces your gorgeous babe likes to pull.

Your session will be customised to suit your desired taste - whether you are looking for some soft subtle colours, or something dark and moody, something with props such as little beds and flowers, or something minimalistic, Rachael will work work you to create images that you are sure to love and will enjoy for all the many years ahead.

A baby portrait session with Storybook Photography is perfect if you missed out on booking a newborn session. Or if you were lucky enough to have had a newborn session carried out, a baby portrait session is the perfect follow up so that you can compare just how much your baby has grown in such a small amount of time!

Our baby photo sessions are mostly held in our North Kellyville studio, however if you'd  prefer something a little different or more natural, you can choose to have your baby's photo session held outdoors at one of our beautiful locations within

The Hawkesbury or Hills District.

BABY PORTRAIT SESSION INFORMATION

Q- What age do you recommend for taking baby portraits?

A- Baby portraits include babies aged 2-12 months so anytime during that age gap is perfect. We do however recommend booking for when your baby can hold their head up when laying on their tummies or even sitting up independently for more variety in your photos.

Q - My baby is already walking - Can I still book in a session?

A - Absolutely! We never turn away people. It does mean we can't use certain props that may make it unsafe for your baby, however that applies regardless of the age of the baby. Safety is always a first priority and we will style the session to suit what your baby can or cannot comfortably do.

Q - Do you provide the outfits and props for the baby?

A - YES! Our studio contains the most gorgeous clothes for babies! Most of the clothing we have fits babies aged 6-12 months however we do have a few smaller items for those wanting a session done with a younger baby. We also have a range of buckets, beds, and plenty of accessories to style your session according to your taste.

Q - Can we take family images during the session?

A - Yes, absolutely! Mum, dad and siblings of baby are always welcome to attend and jump in for some photos.

Q - What if my baby cries on the day of the session?

A - We allow plenty of time during our portrait sessions to stop for cuddles and feeds as necessary so if your baby is having an off day, rest assured that we will take our time and help to calm your baby.

Q - What if my baby is unwell on the day of the session?

A - As with all of our sessions, if anyone attending is unwell in the lead up to or on the day of the session, we ask that you kindly notify us so that we can reschedule your session. We photography lots of babies in our studio, many of whom have underdeveloped immune systems and it wouldn't be fair to risk passing on germs to me, which could then lead to me passing those germs onto other babies. Babies are also quite fussy when they are unwell so it would make for a difficult session anyway.

If you have further questions, please get in touch! Rachael would be more than happy to answer any questions about our sessions.
