Hills District, Sydney, Hawkesbury Newborn Natural Family photography

Hello

Rachael Attard Hills District Photographer

Hi, I'm Rachael Attard, photographer and owner of Storybook Photography!

I am married to my husband Anthony and together we have 3 beautiful daughters, Kaitlin and twins, Phoebe and Indianna.

On the weekends you can find me hanging out with my family. We are quite adventurous and enjoy activities like camping, bush walking, going to the beach and anything to do with exploring new places.

I am a calm, relaxed person by nature so I find enjoyment in the most simplest of things and I just love spending time with people that mean so much to me the most!

My kids are the absolute centre of my universe and they are the inspiration behind this business. After becoming a mum for the second time when my twins were born, I realised just how fast time goes! In experiencing the chaos that came with having 3 kids under 3, I realised the only photographs I had of me with my kids were the professional ones I had taken when they were newborns. This is when I realised the importance and priceless value in my own photographs and it became something that I wanted to make sure other parents had. Raising little babies may be the most tiring experience of your life, but it's also the most amazing and precious time..... And you should have photographs to have this time documented!

Me as your photographer

I am very passionate about providing each client with a fantastic photographic experience. The studio and outdoor experience is generally quite relaxed and calm - apart from that being part of who I am, I also feel it's incredibly important to connect with you as this will help you and your family to relax and enjoy the session.  After all, photo shoots don't happen all the time, so it should be a fun experience!

I absolutely love seeing my art come to life with printed products and ensuring that clients walk away with more than just digital images from their session is something that is very important to me so I have created photography packages to include a range of both digital and beautiful printed artworks.

My joy is capturing the journey of parenthood from the first moment starting with your first pregnancy and photographing all of the beautiful milestones that follow in your parenting journey. I feel so honoured when families come back time and time again whether it is because they have welcomed a new little person to their family or because they'd like to update their family photos. Whatever stage it is, I love capturing it!

I love a good chat and have to been known to chat through an entire session. So if you are the type of person who loves a chat too, then we'll get on just fine!

I love to work with different colour tones, textures and layers to create a gallery of images that present in an artful and cohesive manner, so whether they are displayed on your wall or presented in an album, all of your images tell a story about the session we have photographed.

My studio is my happy place! It is filled with so many pretty things and it is where I get to unleash my creative side. I also love that I get to work with the cutest subjects ever! I especially love baby cuddles!

I am a one person operation. All of the admin, photographing, retouching, product orders, social media management, accounts etc is all done by me. It can get a little crazy at times, and yes this does mean that sometimes there may be a few delays, however this does mean that I offer each client quality assurance as nothing leaves my studio unless it meets my standards.

Storybook Photography is more than just my business - it is my baby! I love doing what I do, and I hope to be meeting new families, seeing old families come back and creating many, many more memories for years to come!

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
